How to Become a Member

When you join the DAR, you enter a network of more than 185,000 women who form lifelong bonds, honor their revolutionary ancestors, and promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism in their communities. We have answers to your questions about becoming a member of this historic and vibrant organization. Some prospective members know others in their family have been DAR members, some just "think" that they have an ancestor who served in some capacity during the Revolutionary War. No matter your status, we have researchers, genealogists, and a database of Patriots to help you find your linkage to the American Revolutionary War.

For more information about becoming a member, please visit the DAR's Become a Member page

If you know that you have a Patriot in your family or know that you might be eligible to join, please complete the DAR Membership Interest Form and/or contact us by filling out the form below. We will help you with your research and look forward to working with you!
